Applications close on March 31 for the next round of China-Pacific Islands Forum Scholarships. If you are looking to further your career prospects by studying in China, don’t miss out on this golden opportunity. There will be twenty places for Pacific Islands students under the scheme in 2017-18, thanks to a recent agreement to double the number of scholarships.

The scholarships are across a wide range of studies. One graduate of the China-Pacific Islands Forum programme recently wowed a Shanghai audience with her Pacific-inspired fashion designs.

Since completing her studies at Shanghai Donghua University, Jadeine Whiteside has won many awards for her fashion design and has been selected for a prestigious PhD programme at the same university.

Jadeine has established her own JW brand and JW Design, based in Shanghai, specializes in utilizing traditional motifs and tapa cloth elements in cutting edge fashion.

Students of Chinese language, business and all fields of study are encouraged to consider applying for a China-Pacific Islands Forum Scholarship.  The Pacific Islands Trade & Invest (PT&I) office in Beijing offers internships and other advice and support to students while in China.
